PERSONAL BACKGROUND

Born on January 5, 1949 in San Miguel, Manila, to the late Dean Teopisto Soliven Tijam, a retired government employee and former Dean of the College of Liberal Arts of the University of Caceres, and the late Mrs. Paz Gimenez Tijam, both of Nabua, Camarines Sur. Married to Cynthia Cornejo Tijam with whom he has three children, Michael, Paul and Cecilia, and three granchildren, Michaela, Gabriel and Christiana.
