SUPREME COURT OF THE PHILIPPINES
MANDATORY CONTINUING LEGAL EDUCATION COMMITTEE
4th Floor, IBP Building
15 Doña Julia Vargas Avenue
Ortigas Center, Pasig City

RESOLUTION NO. 1 – 2004

.WHEREAS, Section 2, Rule 12 of Bar Matter 850 provides that a member of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines failing to comply with the MCLE requirement will receive a Non-Compliance Notice stating the specific deficiency and he/she will be given sixty (60) days from the date of notice to complete the number of credit units for compliance.

WHEREAS, the initial compliance period ends on 14 April 2004 and the MCLE Office is unable to issue notices of non-compliance because many of the providers have been presenting their MCLE programs near and past the deadline, hence, they have been unable to submit on time their compliance reports which the MCLEO needs to compute the credit units earned by the participants in their programs.
WHEREFORE, pursuant to Section 2, Rule 15 of the Bar Matter 850, the MCLE Governing Board resolved to extend the compliance period by sixty (60) days from April 14, 2004 up to June 14, 2004 for members of the Bar to complete their compliance with the MCLE requirement without incurring the non-compliance fee of P1,000.00.
This resolution takes effect immediately.

Issued on March 24, 2004.
